Bottom: Enjoy Yourself
These pictures are of my sister, Star. My sister is like my telepathic other half, she is my best friend and we have so many insides jokes and talk about so many things. She's there for me (most of the time). I took these pictures in our home where there was a lot of natural light. I tried to get my sister to look like she was in the middle of a laugh because thats when she looks the most photogenic, i also tried to get her to look away from the camera. The challenges of taking these pictures was getting angle and getting the right lighting. A success of these photos was the balance, I like the asymmetrical balance in the first and second photo. I think the lighting in the first photo was really good.

Bottom: Birthday Smile
These pictures are of my mother, Foon. This picture was taken by me on her birthday. I'm quite close with my mother. These photos were taken in a restaurant with dim lighting. I told my mother to look down because looking at the camera results in poor pictures and a resemblance of mugshots. The challenges of getting the photo to turn out the way I wanted to. Blurring the background was one of the hardest parts. I like how the lighting came from below and kind of lit her face in a nice and different way. Another triumph in the photo is the focus on the face without any noise distractions.
